Maker Culture

We had our 2nd meeting of Maker Club in February, and the students were offered a challenge this time. They were to make a littleBits animatronics creature. Kevin, a 7th grader, and avid maker, knew from the get-go that he would create a corgi for his character. He furiously started cutting paper, drawing, finding boxes, and connecting different circuits together for an amazing final product, which you can view below! Introducing: The Dogter, complete with wagging tail and light-up sonic screwdriver! Clearly Kevin is a big Dr. Who fan!

We also got a new shipment of Spheros and accessories, two Makey Makeys, and a Buddha Board, which has been a big hit.

Our latest Spheros!

Buddha Board. Be a maker. This board uses water and the “ink” disappears within minutes. Very zen!
